A Planned Programme
Children who visit us for the day will work with a member of the Centre Staff, and follow the programme of study agreed and planned beforehand with their teacher. We also offer residential visits so that the children can spend more time on their studies and benefit from the social side of being with their friends away from home.
Our instructors can work with the children from 09.30 to 15.30, with a lunch break to fit your chosen programme.
Whichever programme of study you choose will include extensive sections of the National Curriculum. Most of the programmes of study offered are a full day activity, but we can mix and match or work to a theme to provide a varied programme suiting your requirements – please contact us – we are here and keen to help.
A visit to Austerfield is as hassle free as a class visit can be. Our education instructors plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons, giving you the chance to join in the fun and observe your class, in the knowledge that our experience and risk assessments have resulted in a safe, effective learning environment.
For more information about the activites we offer, take a look at our leaflet – learning-days.
All instructors and office staff have first aid training, however visiting groups are responsible for provision of any required first aid treatment to their own children.
We have first aid kits available in the office, the kitchen and classrooms, and a kit is carried on all off site walks. Visiting groups must fulfill their own first aid requirements in terms of training and equipment.
