             Please select two activities for a day visit and four if staying overnight.

Please note that to complete two full activities in a day visit, it is necessary

to be on site for 4.5-5 hours, otherwise we cannot do justice to two topics.

• Preferred date/s (date range is helpful)

We will then check our availability and phone you to confirm and discuss options.

Once a date has been agreed, confirmation will be emailed out with booking forms for each class visiting and a deposit invoice.

We are more than happy to discuss tailoring programmes to meet your learning requirements.

Prices for bookings made from 1st June 2024 onwards

  • £10.00 per child per day (minimum charge of 20 pupils)

  • £20 per child per night camping

  • £20 per child per night in dormitories

  • £20 per child per night for our catered option - 3 meals

We can offer catered residential visits, at a guide price of £20/pupil per day for hot meal, buffet breakfast and packed lunch.

Menu options will be provided if this is requested, with special dietary requests catered for wherever possible.

Example:  2-day 1-night self-catered residential = £40, or with food = £60.

3-day 2 night self-catered residential = £70, or with food = £110.

We also run an evening campfire activity at an additional cost of £75.

Use of a barbecue is available for an additional £15 to cover the gas.

All prices quoted exclude VAT, which will be added on invoice.

Deposit invoices are £50 per class for a day visit, or £100 per class for a residential.

In order to secure confirmed booking dates, payment of deposits is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

Bags into classroom, toilets & welcome with introductory activity

11:45 Lunch time (around 45 minutes including short playtime)

14:00 Back on site for toilets and coach departure

15.30 Back on site for settling in to accommodation & free time

18:00 Free time (or camp fire activity at extra cost)

09:00 Pack bags and vacate accommodation area

Residential - The Jarratt Building

  • 2 heated dormitories sleeping 42 children in total (24 in one dorm and 18 in the other), and 5 adults in two separate rooms.

  • Communal room with TV/DVD and seating area.

  • All guests will need to bring a single fitted sheet, pillowcase and a sleeping bag.

  • Use of main building, kitchen and grounds included in hire.

 

Washroom facilities

Main accommodation building:

  • Two fully equipped disabled wet rooms with toilets

  • Additional toilet and wash basin

Just inside the back door to the main building:

  • Boys washroom with toilet, urinal, shower and wash basins

  • Girls washroom with 2 toilets, shower and wash basins

  • Fully equipped disabled wet room and toilet, including full size changing table and hoist

2 fully equipped classrooms each seating up to 35 children

1 animal classroom housing a selection of insects, reptiles and amphibians

Portakabin housing six further toilets (3 female and 3 male)

Secure fenced field with small trim trail play area, bird hide, covered traverse wall and good selection of outdoor play equipment

Two astronomy observatories with bookable Star Gazing sessions (at additional cost)

BBQ available to hire

Pond for supervised pond dipping activity

Access onto 100 acre nature reserve.

Facilities

Within the old school building there is our main William Bradford room with smart board and wifi.

Also a fully equipped self catering kitchen, with fridge, freezer, microwave, toasters, oven and dishwasher.

There is a dining room facility for groups to use as well as plenty of benches outside for picnics.

All groups providing their own food must ensure their staff have the appropriate training.

Food can be ordered from local supermarkets and delivered to site once a member of the visiting group is on site to accept delivery.

Camping

  • 6 tepees sleeping 6-7 people, 3 tepees sleeping 8, plus 2 large tents sleeping up to 12

  • Use of main building, kitchen, & washrooms included in hire

 

 

 

Local walks around the historic village of Austerfield to explore the Pilgrim Fathers' history.

Park and football field in village centre - 10 minutes walk away.
